A windswept arrival

Hayley knew exactly what she wanted, from the look, feel and practicality of holding a very large bouquet. Her dress was heavily beaded and one of her main concerns were flowers and stems catching on her dress, she told me in her brief  “this needs to be thought through”

Hayley requested Protea in her bouquet which is the native flower of South Africa, renowned for their large flowering heads. I then had to wire air plants into her bouquet which were sourced from Toro’s in Falmouth. This was the first time I had used air plants in bouquets,  I loved the calmness they bought into my studio when they arrived from Toro’s. Mini air plants were used in the button holes and I’m so glad to hear that Hayley has re-used them in her home.

The photos are brilliant, Lizzie Churchill has captured so many great moments of Hayley and Leigh on their journey home by boat to their evening reception at the Star and Garter. Who’s says you need sunshine on your wedding day!
